Iran has warned the United States and ‘Israel’ against launching renewed military operations, as diplomatic efforts to end the eight-month war continue alongside escalating tensions across the Middle East. Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei reportedly ordered military commanders to prepare an immediate response to any new threat, while US President Donald Trump confirmed discussing Iran with ‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Reports suggest Netanyahu has urged Washington to resume strikes after the Nov. 3 US midterm elections, although Trump is reportedly allowing diplomatic efforts more time.
Indirect negotiations between Washington and Tehran are continuing through Qatari mediation, with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi saying a revised proposal is under review. Araghchi stressed that Iran remains prepared for both diplomacy and military confrontation, while Tehran has insisted that reopening the Strait of Hormuz depends on ending the US naval blockade and meeting its demands. Trump has said a deal with Iran “could happen,” while maintaining that the conflict could end through an agreement or further military action.
